MICCy Speaks:

There must be a cosmic conspiracy. The world-famous MICC Christmas Party was held on the night of the third windstorm of the week, forecast to be the worst of the lot but locally, the wind wasn't too bad. Nevertheless it was preceded by rain, 1½-inches of snowy slop, rain again and fog. Consequently, the Party was not as well attended as we had hoped - and we congratulate the 14 members and 2 guests who braved the elements to make it as large a success as it was.

With less than half the attendance of last year, we raised $163.75 for Nanaimo Foodshare. And we give special thanks to Tracie for the donation of a number of hand-crafted items.

Now to business: Dooz-R-Doo Time for 2007. A mere $12 for the year. See Treasurer Bob or other appropriate member of the executive. And if necessary, a cheque may be mailed to the address above.

The January meeting will also be Election Night for the new executive of the MICC. Please plan to attend and support your candidate.
