A Giant $10.00 "Wood"

In 1986, Ron Greene, Victoria businessman and well-known West Coast numismatist, produced a total of eight huge ( 2 feet - or about 60 centimeters diameter) "woods" in a Ten Dollar denomination as an advertising gimmick for his business, Capital Iron, of Victoria, B.C.

One was presented to L.H. "Scoop" Lewry, another well-known numismatist, and mayor of Moose Jaw , Saskatchewan , at the time. Ron apologized that the piece was slightly too large to fit in a normal 2"x2" "flip".
