MICCy Speaks:

And the winner of the Bill Potts Memorial Trophy for 2008 is: Bob Bresden. Bob is, of course, our Treasurer without whose financial acumen and guardianship our club would limp along befuddled, never knowing if we were broke or not. (And whose job I wouldn't want. But don't tell him that.) You might also recognize him as one of the master chefs at our annual barbecue. So: well deserved, Bob.

With the days becoming shorter and cooler, we are entering what is in general numismatic season. For those whose summer's activities have precluded more than limited attendance (or perhaps nil) at the meetings, we look forward to seeing you there. At the last meeting a rather old concept was voiced, simply because it makes such good sense: why not bring along some interesting item from your collection for a little show-and-tell. Every collector has some little nugget of information of which the rest of us are unaware. How about sharing it? And remember: nearly all those who have given a brief public speech have survived. You will, too. Probably.
